What a great show this year, the 9th Aircraft Raffle ended on a very hot day down at Virginia airport at the Wesbank Durban Wings Airshow. The lucky ticket was drawn by our celebrity guests Shaun Pollock, Gary Teichman and Mark Andrews and under the watchful eye of the auditor from Ernst & Young.
This year’s winner was one of our raffle regulars; he buys tickets each and every year like so many of our other amazing, incredibly kind staunch supporters. This year was no different until at 2:45 he received a call from Brian Eminess giving him the incredible news that he had won ZS-BZL, the raffle plane. Mr James Emslie is from Three Rivers in Vereeniging and won with ticket number 3245.
The raffle has once again raised hundreds of thousands of rands for the terminally ill children from Reach for a Dream, giving each one of them the opportunity of enjoying something special with their families during desperately ill times.
A huge thank you to everyone for all the wonderful support over the last 9 years, we have something special planned for our 10th Anniversary next year and I really hope it will be your lucky year!
