About Raffle
What excitement at the draw of the 2005 Dennis Jankelow & Associates / Reach for a Dream aircraft raffle on Sunday 10th July!

All 6000 tickets were sold, the final 8 going just 2 hours before the draw. At 2pm sharp, Miss South Africa, together with Capital Sounds’ Brian Eminess and an ever-vigilant auditor from Ernst & Young, drew ticket number 5232, which belonged to Annie Boon of Fourways, Johannesburg.
After the winner was announced it was realised that Annie was not at Virginia and so Brian called her on air. Annie and her husband were in the departure hall of Durban International airport, on the way home from attending the air show, when she got the call. We later learned from her husband that she let out such a huge scream he had to pacify the surrounding passengers and explain to airport security why she was dancing and screeching in the airport!
Annie and her husband immediately cancelled their flight to Johannesburg and NAC Helicopters kindly sent a helicopter to fetch them from Durban International and return them to Virginia so Annie could see the beautiful Piper Cherokee she had just won.
Annie already has her rotorwing licence and has been very keen to get her fixedwing licence; with this great prize from Dennis Jankelow & Associates she will not only be able to get her fixedwing licence courtesy of 43 Air School but will be able to use it to fly her own aircraft. Annie’s daughter is also a PPL.
DJ&A would like to thank all those who so kindly bought tickets for this year’s raffle: some buying just one and others buying 20 and 30 tickets. So many of you have supported the raffle every year for the last 8 years … the Jankelow team really hopes it will be your turn next year.
Thank you so much
Kind regards
