Dream: To meet her half brother
Bronwyn has been dreaming for years to meet her half-brother Calim. She was so excited and could not wait for the Friday that they flew to Durban. Her step sister got sick at the last minute and she requested if her best friend can go with since the flight and accommodation was already paid and booked. They had to take a rental car from Durban to Richards Bay where Calim was staying with his mother. Bronwynn is on a dialysis machine and first had to receive dialysis when they arrived at their guest house so they arranged to meet at Spur. Everybody was in tears; even the people who did not even know what was going on. Everybody had so many questions and stories to share that it was eleven o’clock when we had to say goodnight with the promise to see each other the next day. We had a fun filled day next to the swimming pool as it was very, very hot. Her brother can play guitar and Bronwynn loves to sing so they sang hundreds of songs. It was very emotional to say goodbye on the Sunday to return home. At least Bronwynn and Calim can still keep on talking on WhatsApp and send each other photos but they had the opportunity to see each other in person and that will be cherished forever!!
