Sinawe gets toys
Sinawe is a precious 4 year old, with boundless amounts of energy. Coming from a small village called Berlin, Sinawe has never had a lot of material things with which to play. In fact he enjoys going to hospital as it means he can play with the toys there.
Never in his life did Sinawe ever imagine he would own his own toys. On the day of his dream, arriving at his home,Sinawe gave us an animated welcome, chattering away, showing how excited he was that we were there. Seeing the parcels, he was beside himself, opening each one with delight. Once everything was unwrapped, Sinawe sat back, clearly taking it all in – he could not believe he was now the proud owner of his very own scooter bike. It was a wonderful experience to witness and a very heartwarming one. Sinawe was so thrilled, he asked to call his friends from around the neighbourhood to come see – they arrived excitedly, yet none were allowed to touch his new scooter! Being able to play with toys without going to hospital, although a novel concept to Sinawe, is something he can now take for granted. Every child deserves to play.
